Different microwave brands have different approaches in repairing their microwave ovens. But the most common and most practical repair knowledge that you should have is to keep your microwave clean.
Do not allow food build-up in your microwave as it may cause high voltage to move from the capacitor to the chassis ground. This will make your microwave spark and unsafe to use. Cover high voltage wires and keep them away from the metal corners of your oven. And always remember to clean your microwave ovens. You cook food in there, remember?
